The energy cooperation between Taiwan and the Netherlands is mainly on offshore wind power. Energy policy and hydrogen energy are also within the scope of bilateral cooperation.
The MOU on Cooperation within the Field of Energy and Innovation was signed by the Energy Administration, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency in September 2015 and was extended in 2018 and 2021 respectively. The MOU served as a platform for regular official meetings and mutual visits held annually to discuss the cooperation on energy, renewable energy, and other areas agreed by two sides.
