With a great willingness to realized energy transition, Taiwan and Germany co-hosted the first energy-related forum in 2015 and signed up the Joint Declaration of Intent on Cooperation in the Field of Energy Transition in 2016. The joint declaration is the milestone for Taiwan-Germany partnership in energy transition, enhancing experience sharing and exploration of business opportunities. So far, six forums and four delegations were set up for boosting bilateral energy cooperation.
In the cohosted forums, German and Taiwanese experts are invited to share reliable and firsthand information about energy transition and advanced energy technologies in Germany and Taiwan respectively, and then exchange views on issues related to energy transition with the audience. Since 2015, Taiwan and Germany have exchanged ideas and experience on energy transition, electricity market reform, citizen energy company, green finance, clean fossil fuel technologies, wind power, solar power, fuel cell technology, energy storage, smart gird, and hydrogen.
