The Ministry of Economic Affairs has been taking measures to reduce electricity consumption and peak demand. Other than the existing measures and programs, there is a “New Energy Saving Campaign Program” to save 4.469 billion kWh of electricity and decrease 0.8382 MW of electricity demand between 2017 and 2020. To reach the objectives, the central and local governments unite to promote systematic energy management and power saving measures.
